[He knows it's later than they had agreed on, but things came up - namely a blackout - and he had to stay close to Cameron and his mom, otherwise they would worry. Now Jump is coming up in a few days, and he should find Ariadne soon.

It's not that she wasn't glad to see him (she was - she did like him after all) it was just that she had been so lost/busy dealing with everything, she sort of forgot for a brief minute what he meant by that remark. (and she would have preferred not to turn it into something silly yet again) ]
